Sailor Senshi (セーラー戦士; meaning "Sailor Warrior") is a term referring to the main female protagonists of all versions of Sailor Moon. They are also referred to simply as Senshi.

Princesses of their own planets[]
Each Sailor Senshi is a member of their respective planets royal family. Mentioned by Luna and Artemis in the manga, while it's the Inner Senshi's duty to protect Princess Serenity from danger, it was also their duty to rule their home planets.
All of the Solar System Senshi have castles that orbit their planet, with the exception being Sailor Moon with Moon Castle. They can use these castles to call forth extra power.
